Our teen patients are always excited to hear they can have Invisalign® treatment. In fact, we have a special Invisalign® treatment just for teens. These convenient aligners won’t get in the way of their favourite foods and activities.
Made just for teen teeth
Invisalign® for teens works just like Invisalign® for adults, using custom clear aligners to straighten your smile instead of metal brackets. The difference is that teen aligners come with blue wear indicators to help teens remember to wear them for 22 hours a day.
Because the aligners are removable, teens can enjoy their favourite food and after school activities during treatment. They also won’t get in the way of your teen’s regular oral hygiene routine.

How Invisalign® treatment works at Straight Smiles
Here’s what to expect from your teen’s treatment at our practice:
A free consultation
During your first visit, we’ll get to know their smile goals and answer any questions they (or you) might have about treatment.
A smile scan
We’ll use our iTero Scanner to make a digital model of your teen’s smile. We will use this information to craft their bespoke treatment plan, along with a series of custom aligners.
A custom Invisalign® treatment
When your teen’s aligners are ready, we will give them to you a few sets at a time. Each set will be shaped differently than the next to guide your teen’s smile into alignment during treatment. Dr Karim will advise your teen to switch to a new set of aligners every couple weeks.
Remote monitoring
Instead of coming in for adjustments, your teen can check in with our team remotely through Invisalign® Virtual Care. All they need to do is send us weekly selfies of their smile, and we won’t need to see them at our practice as long as everything is going according to plan.
